Why did my students' responses disappear?

Student work in Coursemojo saves automatically, but only on the same device and the same browser they were using. If a student switches devices (for example, from a school Chromebook to a home computer) or switches browsers, any work they hadn't submitted won't carry over.

If your student stays on the same device and browser

Their progress will save, and they can pick up where they left off the next time they log in.

If your student needs to switch devices or browsers

Before switching, have them do one of the following:

1. Submit their response. When they log in on the new device or browser, they'll see what they submitted.
2. Copy and paste their work somewhere else so they can paste it back in once they've switched.

Tip: If your students regularly work at school and at home, remind them to submit or save a copy of their work before logging off, especially on longer writing tasks.
